1. Product Warranty

At SoCal Pet Brace, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our custom orthotic and prosthetic devices. Each device is crafted with precision and care to meet the specific needs of your pet.

1.1 Warranty Coverage

Our devices are covered by the following warranty:

  • 90-Day Workmanship Warranty: All devices are guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for 90 days from the date of delivery.
  • Adjustment Period: We provide up to two (2) adjustments within 30 days of fitting and delivery at no additional charge.
  • Device Integrity: The structural integrity of the device is warranted under normal use conditions as directed by your veterinarian.

1.2 What Is NOT Covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • • Damage resulting from improper use, misuse, or accidents
  • • Normal wear and tear from extended use
  • • Damage caused by chewing, scratching, or other pet behavior
  • • Alterations or modifications made by anyone other than SoCal Pet Brace
  • • Devices that have not been maintained according to care instructions
  • • Changes in pet's condition, size, or anatomy requiring a new device

2. Refund Policy

2.1 Custom Medical Devices

Due to the custom nature of our orthotic and prosthetic devices, which are individually fabricated to each pet's specific measurements and needs, we generally cannot offer refunds once fabrication has begun.

Each device is custom-made to order and cannot be resold or reused for another patient. By approving the casting and measurements, you authorize us to begin the fabrication process.

2.2 Circumstances for Refund Consideration

We may consider refunds in the following limited circumstances:

  • Pre-Fabrication Cancellation: Full refund if you cancel before we begin fabrication of the device (typically within 24-48 hours of order placement).
  • Manufacturer Error: If we make an error in fabrication that cannot be corrected through adjustments, we will remake the device at no charge or issue a full refund.
  • Unresolvable Fit Issues: If, despite multiple professional adjustments, we cannot achieve a proper fit due to our error in the fabrication process.

3. Replacement and Repair Services

3.1 Warranty Repairs

If your device fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship within the 90-day warranty period, we will repair or replace it at no charge. Contact us immediately if you notice any issues.

3.2 Out-of-Warranty Repairs

After the warranty period, we offer repair services for a fee. The cost will depend on the extent of the damage and parts required. Contact us for a repair estimate.

3.3 Replacement Devices

If your pet's condition changes, or if the device is damaged beyond repair, we can fabricate a replacement device. Standard fees will apply, though we may offer a discount for returning customers.

4. Fitting and Adjustment Policy

We understand that achieving the perfect fit may take time. We are committed to working with you and your veterinarian to ensure the device functions properly.

4.1 Full-Service Model

For Full-Service partnerships, we include:

  • • Initial casting and measurements at your clinic
  • • Fitting visit to deliver and adjust the device
  • • Up to two (2) follow-up adjustments within 30 days of fitting and delivery

4.2 Fabrication-Only Model

For Fabrication-Only partnerships, your veterinary clinic handles fitting and adjustments. We provide guidance and support, and will remake the device if measurements were incorrect due to our error in interpretation.

5. How to Request a Warranty Claim or Refund

To submit a warranty claim or refund request:

  3. 3. Veterinary Consultation: We may request input from your veterinarian to assess the situation
  4. 4. Resolution: We will respond within 2-3 business days with next steps

6. Care and Maintenance Requirements

To maintain your warranty coverage, please follow these care guidelines:

  • • Clean the device regularly according to provided instructions
  • • Inspect straps, padding, and structural components weekly for wear
  • • Store the device properly when not in use
  • • Follow all veterinary instructions for application and wear schedule
  • • Contact us immediately if you notice any damage or fit issues
  • • Schedule follow-up appointments as recommended

7. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of the device. We are not responsible for:

  • • Veterinary care costs related to device use
  • • Consequential damages or losses
  • • Changes in your pet's medical condition
  • • Outcomes that depend on factors beyond the device itself

All devices must be used under veterinary supervision. We recommend regular check-ups to monitor your pet's progress and device condition.
